You want the right person to sell your house for you. There is a lot of talk around ‘brand’ within the real estate industry, and big brands can provide all sorts of evidence of one measure called ‘market share’. Of course they can - they have huge offices that are full of salespeople! But you would not choose a terrible agent from a great brand, would you? And have you ever seen a successful agent ‘shift’ brand and remain successful? Simply put, ‘brand’ has more to do with attracting real estate agents to be a part of ‘something’, as opposed to encouraging buyers to come and look at your house. We believe in local, we believe that the person that you choose to decide to sell your house is more important than brand. So it is simple. Choose the person that you want to work with. Choose the person that you can trust. Choose the person that can get the job done without allowing ‘brand’. That is why you do not need a big brand to sell your house. The sales team at Independent Agent have been selected on a range of measures. The first and most important is that they are suited to working outside of a traditional office. This means that they have experience in real estate, and usually in some other business as well. By the very nature of commission based sales, the people who are not capable soon leave the industry. Only 1 salesperson in 5 who obtains their salesperson certificate lasts in the business for more than a year. You want to know that your agent can get your property in front of the right people. Because many of our team have individual ‘brands’ there is an argument that we dont have this elusive feature called ‘marketing reach’. Just remember… while great exposure for the brand, sponsorship of rugby teams, expensive billboard campaigns are designed to get you (the vendor) to call the agency. This not designed to sell your home.
