Inaction
There seems to be a lot of decision-making going on at the moment. I don’t know how to name what we (as in New Zealanders) are going through at the moment, and specifically as realtors in New Zealand.
We have brightline changes coming into effect. We have interest deductibility changes. We have stubborn interest rates (or do we have a new normal?). We have recession and inflation. Ok, you know it all already.
Within this space, there is an awful lot of decision making going on. And a lot of procrastination going on as well.
After rolling several personal examples around my head, from paying bills, to going for runs, to making phone calls, I have come up with this
By avoiding the pain You are prolonging the torture
I think that it is a good time to take stock of where things are at for you in the important general areas of life*, and apply this lens to it.
You might find, as I did, that there are some areas that you want to address and change, and by avoiding making change you are lost in an ocean of thought experiments, hypothetical scenarios, and indecision.
As in prolonging the torture.
