I had the pleasure of hosting a ‘back to basics’ accountability session with members of the team who wanted to be held accountable for basic metrics. I was expecting dozens of attendees, some fresh faces maybe, maybe some people who were struggling to get business together.
It may not surprise you that it was four senior, successful agents who turned up – well… What can I say?
In any case, we veterans all thought that the easiest, most cost effective, most likely to succeed way of securing future business is to pick up the phone.
10 calls a day.
If you do 10 calls a day, every week day, you will be inundated with business pretty quickly. We (me included) set this up as a daily goal.
Of course, step two of the accountability session is to do the work…
One of the participants gave me a text that night – ‘I am the highest paid telemarker’ he claimed.
He had just picked up a listing from one of his 10 calls. He calculated the pay day at $25,000. He just got paid $2,500 per call.
I love the positive framing of this thought.
There are not many industries where you can earn $2500 per phone call.
Set yourself a fresh target next week. Go make the calls.
