Addressing some of the Elephants in the Room
‘Not interested, no shop window, no real internet presence, no team, doesn’t matter about the split – we have plenty of ‘Homeless’ low commission ‘hit and hope’ agency (sic) already! But thanks anyway.’
I almost allowed myself to fall headlong into an online argument in response to this one. The real estate agent writer had made a public comment on one of our ads, and rather than engage there… I thought I would write here.
It is a fair assumption though. He is probably not the only one that has this idea about what we are doing here, however incorrect.
We are a live and let live kind of a business. You do you. We will support you. Hard for some to get their head around.
We support all kinds of commission structures from fixed fees and fixed percentages, to sliding scales.
We support people working from home, we also support people in teams and offices.
We support East Realty headed by Trevor and Tracey East. They have a larger office in a high profile location in the Tauranga CBD. There are 6 people working from this office.
We support Luxe Real Estate, a team of two. with an office located in Auckland’s CBD. Their central location sees over 6 million people walk past their windows each year.
Independent Agent is still a young business, just three years in. We started from scratch with just an idea in my head and no salespeople. We have not been here for THREE GENERATIONS yet, we are at the beginning. I think that we are already making a little dent in the world.
So I hope that clears a few things up – I don’t think the person who kicked this all off wants to see the answer – but I might email it over anyway.
Have a great week, as always, feel free to reach out with any comments or questions.
Matt.
